Ninfa Aguirre Botello, 80, of Brownsville, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Ninfa was born in Harlingen, Texas on November 5, 1928. She was preceded in death by her brother Steve Aguirre.
She had been a resident of Brownsville since 1960 and is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Dionicio Don Botello and seven children: Robert Trevio, Blanca Noe Pro, Belinda B. Cavazos, Velma Gerardo Casanova, Irene Jaime Castaeda, George Elizabeth Botello, and Diana Reynaldo Rodriguez. She also leaves behind her twenty-nine grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren and two sisters: Nora Aguirre and Martha Garcia.
Ninfa had a passion for life and a great devotion to her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining at her home. She loved shopping, traveling, and dancing. Ninfa was always sincere and true in heart. Her sense of generosity will forever be with those who had the privilege of knowing her. She has left us beautiful memories that we will forever cherish.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and continue until 12:30 when funeral procession will depart the funeral home to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. at St. Lukes Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be: Noe Pro, Gerardo Casanova, Jaime Castaeda, Reynaldo Rodriguez, Jaime Castaeda Jr., and Isidro Cavazos III.
