Ninfa E. Sanchez, 83, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Ninfa, who was born in Matamoros, was a lifetime resident of Brownsville.

Ninfa was always smiling. She enjoyed spending time with her family; she played Chalupa with her sisters every day. She loved gardening and tending to her plants; crocheting-she crocheted a blanket for all of her grandchildren. She loved birds and enjoyed listening to their singing but most especially she loved spending time with her husband, "El Amor de su Vida".

Ninfa was preceded in death by her parents, Cesario and Maria Luisa Escobedo; a grandson, Walter Cain III, and three brothers: Hector, Humberto and Baltazar Escobedo.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of Ninfa is her husband of 66 years, "El Amor de su Vida", Rafael P. Sanchez; her children: Rafael (Blanca) Sanchez Jr., Jorge (Susana) Sanchez, Sylvia (Fernando) Gonzalez, Gerardo Sanchez, Dora (Walter) Cain, Charlie (Elizabeth) Sanchez, Norma Sanchez, Gustavo Sanchez, and Edgar (Maria) Sanchez; 25 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Ninfa will also be missed by siblings: Irma (Jesus+) Cordova, Maria Luisa (Felicitos+) Cantu, Rosa E. (Jose+) Sanchez, Lupita (Rafael) Guzman, Genoveva (Jesus+) Rodriguez, and Cesar Escobedo along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2nd, 2016, and continue through 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday evening in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec 3rd, 2016, with the Funeral Service scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Ninfa's grandsons: Rafael Sanchez III, James Sanchez, Fernando Gonzalez Jr., Charlie Sanchez Jr., Armando Castillo Jr., Anthony Sanchez, and Edgar Sanchez Jr. are honored to be serving as her pallbearers. Jorge Sanchez and Eric Sanchez along with the rest of Ninfa's grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
