BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Noe S. Charles entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, the 7th of May 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was ninety-two years of age.
Noe was born in Brownsville, Texas on December 7, 1931, son of the late Jose and Maria Suarez Charles. Noe was a proud veteran with the United States Navy. He served his country for four years, from 1949 to 1953. A devout Catholic, Noe ministered his faith to the prisoners at Bayview, Texas.
Preceding Noe in death were his parents, Jose and Maria Suarez Charles; his brother, Alberto Charles (Celsa+); and his sisters, Ernestina Becerril (Raymond+) and Esther Charles Leal.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-six years, Estela De La Paz; his godson, Saul Arellano; and his goddaughter, Magdalena Trevino. He is also survived by his daughter, Janie Rodriguez-Mann (Tom); his niece, Mary Lou Becerril John; and several other nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, the 11th of May 2024 between the hours of ten o'clock and one o'clock in the afternoon, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at twelve noon within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at two o'clock in the afternoon at St. Luke Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Drive, Brownsville. Interment with military honors will then follow, via an escorted procession, at the San Pedro Cemetery, Cemetery Road, San Pedro.In lieu of floral arrangements and customary remembrances, memorial contributions in memory of Noe may be sent to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 Lincoln Street, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
