Norma Elaine Walker

Mrs. Norma Elaine Walker, 91, our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and greatgrandmother entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at her residence with her loving family at her side.

A native of Augusta, KS, Norma and her husband Marshall lived in Hutchinson, KS, until 2004 when they chose to make Brownsville their retirement home. While in Hutchinson, Norma worked as a real estate agent. Norma also directed the Reno county Red Cross Swim School in the 50s and 60s and also volunteered at Hutchinson Hospital and served on the hospitals Ladies Auxiliary board. Norma was also a lifetime member of the Prairie Dunes Ladies Golf Assoc.

In her spare time, Norma enjoyed playing golf, snow skiing, gardening and traveling. Norma was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.

Norma was preceded in death by her son, David Gus Meschke her parents, Harold and Edna Countryman and a sister, Joan Burazen.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her husband of 60 years: Marshall W. Walker a son Marshal William Walker of Carbonale, CO and a daughter, Susan Stockwell of Tulsa, OK the six grandchildren that she loved and spoiled: Kelsey Stockwell, Dr. David Michelle Stockwell M.D., Jill Greg Donahoe, Dr. matthew Kathryn Meschke M.D., Christian Walker, and Marshall H. Walker seven greatgrandchildren and nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

In accordance with Normas wishes, she was cremated. No local services are planned at this time. Her ashes will be interred in Hutchinson, KS at a later date.
