Ofelia "Ofi" Longoria Farrar

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Ofelia Longoria Farrar, affectionately known as Ofi, entered into eternal rest on Friday, the 13th of December 2024 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. She was 74 years of age.

Ofi was born on November 29, 1950 in Brownsville, Texas, daughter of the late Luis and Paula Longoria. She graduated Brownsville High School and went on to work as a sales representative She was a member of Central Christian Church and formerly of Portway Baptist Church. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and taking care of her family. 

Preceding Ofi in death were her parents, Luis and Paula Longoria, and her siblings, Abelardo Longoria, Filomena Longoria, Juanita Longoria, and Zenida Longoria.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Larry D. Farrar; her son, David L. Farrar (Clarisa); her grandchildren Julia Farrar (Devin Castilleja), Elizabeth Farrar, Ava Farrar, and Katherine Farrar; her sister, Beatriz Longoria Cortez (Marcello); and her beloved dog, Pumpkin.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, the 19th of December 2024 between the hours of twelve noon and nine o'clock at night, with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at six o'clock in the evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
