Ofelia Solis De La Llata

Brownsville- Ofelia Solis De La Llata, 93, passed away to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.
Ofelia was born on February 14, 1925 in Mexico to Mr. Telesforo S. Solis & Mrs. Maria Del Refugio Gomez Solis.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Gustavo H De La Llata; her son Gustavo De La Llata Jr. and her sisters: Margaret S. Para, Sara S. Lerma, Elvia S. Yarbrough, Maria Isabel Thomas, & Maria Elena Cruz.

Mrs. De La Llata is survived by her sons: Julio C. (Carmen) De La Llata & Rodrigo J. De La Llata; her daughters: Ofelia De La Llata, Diana D. Garza, Nilda De La Llata, Maria Isabel De La Llata Torres; her sisters; Sylvia S. Blackmore, Irma S. Walk and Rose S. Worden; her brother Tony Solis (Norma) 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. De La Llata was in the real estate business for over 35 years owning De La Llata Realty. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Family will be receiving friends on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Honored to be Mrs. De La Llata's pallbearers are Julio De La Llata, Rodrigo De La Llata, Carlos Arturo Garza, Pilo Garcia , Mario Tobias, Hector Tejeda.
Honorary pallbearer is Javier Gamez.
