BROWNSVILLE, TX. - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Olga Quintero, who left us on Tuesday, the 18th of March 2025 in Brownsville surrounded by her family. She was a true warrior—strong, resilient, and full of love. Her unwavering spirit and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She was 81 years of age.
Olga was born in Mexico on October 23, 1943, daughter of the late Alejandro Quintero and Francisca Cardenas, and was raised in Brownsville where she graduated from Brownsville High School. She was a member of Temple Beth Israel in Harlingen, Texas.
Olga was more than just a mother; she was our rock, our guiding light, and our greatest source of love. She faced every challenge with grace and strength, always putting her family first. Her warmth, wisdom, and laughter will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her love and spirit will remain with us always.
Preceding Olga in death were her parents, Alejandro Quintero and Francisca Cardenas, and her brother, Alejandro "Jano" Quintero.
Survivors include her children, Lisa Ann Casas, Aaron Moses Hernandez, Denise Michelle Novigrod, and Lewis Osorio; her grandchildren Marcela Fran Cortinas, Katya Alejandra Cortinas, Angelina "Angel" Juliet Hernandez, Aries Jaden Hernandez, and Oliver Saturn Osorio; her great-grandchildren, Axl Julian Rivera and Marz Amara Garza; her siblings Paula "Nena" Ross, Yolanda "Yol" Orozco, and Graciela "Gracie" Cantu; her nieces and nephews Iliana, Criselda, Michael, Vanessa, Othel, Brian, Jeanette, Alex, Arturo Jr.; and her beloved dog, Miko.
