Olive Leal Ridley

Olive L. Ridley, 104, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Brownsville, TX.
Olive was born on November 4, 1905 in Brownsville, Texas to Arturo and Adelina Arizmendi Leal. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elgan M. Ridley, Sr., a son, E. M. Buzzy Ridley, Jr., a daughter, Erline Ridley Smithof Corpus Christi her brothers, Adolfo Leal, Arturo Leal and Raul Leal Besterio her sisters, Adelina Leal Rangel, Alicia Leal Alegeria and Beatrice Leal Garza. She is survived by her daughterinlaw, Barbara Ridley of Brownsville a soninlaw, James Smith of Corpus Christi five grandchildren, Cary Smith and Eric Wanming Smith of Corpus Christi, E.M. Bronwyn Ridgley III of Runge, TX, Pamela Ridley Hank Hood of Plano, TX and Laurie Ridley Tony Oliveira of Brownsville, seven greatgrandchildren, Allison Nicole Smith, Alexander McNeile Smith and Micah James Smith of Corpus Christi, Devin Anthony Oliveira of Austin, Garrett Collier Oliveira of Brownsville, Jordan Olivia Hood of Plano, E. M. Sam Ridley IV and Catherine Elizabeth Ridley of Runge.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 10a.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 11 a.m., and a chapel service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Internment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Honored to be serving as Mrs. Ridleys pallbearers are Cary Smith, Eric Smith, Buddy Ridley, Sam Ridley, Tony Oliveira and Garrett Oliveira.
