Olivia Garcia Barron, 68, our beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas surrounded by her loving family after a valiant battle against congestive heart disease.
Molly, as she was affectionately known to all, was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. Molly was a dedicated employee with the Texas Department of Human Services and retired due to health reasons after 15 years of service.
Molly loved writing about her life in her daily journal and enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, and murder mystery TV shows. Her grandkids who were the apple of her eye, now know that she is their special guardian angel. Molly was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known her.
Molly was preceded in death by her father, Victor H. Garcia and a sister, Norma E. Garcia.
Molly is survived by her mother, Maria Flores Garcia; her children: Victor J."V.J." (Patricia) Barron, Rosalie (Abel) Rangel, Angela (Eli) Vasquez, and Michelle (Brian) Crawford; five grandchildren: Darren Vasquez, Chance Rangel, McKenzie Crawford, Dallas Vasquez, and Kitty. Molly will also be missed by her sisters: Emilia "Milly"� Dale, Lydia G. Liendo, Josie (Joe) Hinojosa, and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzy"� (Marty) Pena along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 and continue through 9:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The recitation of the holy rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Darling-Mouser. The Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28th at St. Luke Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Drive. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
