Oscar L. Hinojosa

Oscar L. Hinojosa, 85, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by his loving family.

Oscar, was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Elvira and Refugio Hinojosa; and his siblings: Alfonso Hinojosa, Rosalio Hinojosa, Delfina H. Cisneros, Celedina H. Cisneros, and Raul Hinojosa.

Oscar is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Adela Cisneros Hinojosa; his children: Cecilia (Charles) Easley, Blanca Hinojosa, and Oscar Martin (Tami Bolin) Hinojosa; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with four more that are on the way; one sister, Maria (Faustino+) Hinojosa Hinojosa and other extended family members.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17th at Darling-Mouser. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Oscar's son, Oscar Martin Hinojosa, his son-in-law, Charles Easley, and his grandsons: Jon M. Castillo, Michael R. Easley, Max L. Hinojosa, and Joaquin Trejo are honored to be serving as Oscar's pallbearers. Patrick Tipton will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
