Otalia C. Perez

Otalia C. Perez, 82, of Brownsville, Texas entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her residence. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her loving family at her side.
She was born in Agualeguas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Tomas and Hermelinda Chapa on April 7, 1936.

Otalia was a loving and devoted wife of 64 years to her husband, Tomas R. Perez, and an exceptional mother to her four children. She was a compassionate, caring woman with a heart filled with kindness and generosity towards others. She always had a strong faith in God, and was a devoted Catholic. Otalia was a lifelong member and served at Christ the King Church.

She is survived by her husband Tomas R. Perez; four children, Maria Elena Perez of San Diego, CA, Joe ( Janie) Perez, Yolanda (Alejandro) Delgado, Lillian (Marcial) Cortinas, all of Brownsville; blessed with 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Road. Entombment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park Mausoleum.

Honored to be serving as her pallbearers are Alejandro Delgado, Jr., Erick T. Delgado, Elvis J. Delgado, Kristopher Cortinas, Jason D. Perez and Kevin J. Perez.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Anthony Boswell.
