Pajita G. Rocha

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Pajita G. Rocha, age 72, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 7, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born and raised in El Higo, Veracruz. She married the love of her life, Juan Rocha in September of 1973 who preceded in her death in 1993. Pajita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who loved to love on people. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma.  She had a vivacious personality; her hands were rarely still as she enjoyed tending to her plants and cooking. Pajita was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Her life was a living example of her favorite saint, St. Jude --- for she always stayed close to Christ even during difficult times.

Pajita is survived by her children: Ericka Rocha Cabrera (Alberto Cabrera), Lizette Rocha Hernandez (Joey Hernandez), and Emmanuel Rocha (Monique Rocha); her grandchildren: John Sauceda, Angela Lizette Cabrera, and Cecilia Marie Rocha; and many nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank Father Josh, Abundant Life Home Health, and offer special thanks to Sunshine Haven Hospice Inc. for their compassion and skilled assistance and making Pajita’s final days comfortable and peaceful.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, the 11th of April 2021 between the hours of one o’clock in the afternoon and seven o'clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to be recited at seven o'clock Sunday night within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at eleven o'clock in the morning on Monday, the 12th of April 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2405 E. Tyler Street, Brownsville, Texas 78520. All services will conclude at the church and cremation will follow. Committal services will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 14th of April 2021 at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas 78526.

Serving as pallbearers will be Emmanuel Rocha, John Sauceda, Alberto Cabrera, Joey Hernandez, Oscar Ponce, Luis Ponce, Beto Ponce, and Joel Ponce.
