Penny J. Slovisky (nee Clifford), 60, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in Brownsville, Texas, following a long illness surrounded by her loving family.
Penny was born in Akron and raised in Cuyahoga Falls graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1972. She had worked as a dental hygienist for several local dentists and was a realtor before moving to Texas where she has resided the past 30 years. Penny's friends will always remember how she made them laugh and smile. She never lost her sense of humor even in her most difficult times. Penny was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known her.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dottie Clifford; a brother, Billy Clifford, and her father-in-law, Joseph Slovisky.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her husband of 30 years, Gary; a son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Leticia; the granddaughters that she adored, Sara and Sophia; a sister and brother-in-law, Marty and Ken Shoemaker, her mother-in-law, Juanita Slovisky, and several nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m., on Sunday, April 19, 2015, in the East Chapel at Darling Mouser Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, at Darling-Mouser. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
