Petra G. Cisneros, 81, of Brownsville, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Sunshine Haven in Olmito, Texas.
Mrs. Cisneros was a lifetime resident of Brownsville. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Agustin Rafael Cisneros, and a daughter, Francisca Cisneros.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory are her 8 daughters: Maria Isabel Cisneros, Barbarita Castro, Ninfa Young, Delia Alegria, Carmelita Fernandez, Estela Rodriguez, Luisa Garcia, and Celia Renteria; 5 sons: Augustin, Roman, Feliberto, Raul, and Teodoro Cisneros; 45 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2009 and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. this evening in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2009 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Petra's grandsons: Jose Renteria III, Aaron Vega, Tony Vega, Robert Castro, Javier Garcia, Reynaldo Cisneros, Oscar Cisneros, and Santos Fernandez are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their grandmother.
