BROWNSVILLE, TX. — Philip Edward Gaynor entró en el descanso eterno el martes 11 de junio de 2024 en Brownsville. Tenía noventa y cinco años.
Philip nació en Brooklyn, Nueva York, el 29 de abril de 1929, hijo del fallecido Philip Amos Gaynor y Anna Miller Gaynor. Era un veterano orgulloso de haber servido tanto en la Armada de los Estados Unidos como en la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos. Philip era superintendente de la autoridad de tránsito de la ciudad de Nueva York. Sus pasatiempos favoritos incluían esquiar, pescar, jugar bolos y leer.

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Philip Edward Gaynor entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, the 11th of June 2024 in the comfort of his Brownsville residence surrounded by his loving family. He was ninety-five years of age.
Philip was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 29, 1929, son of the late Philip Amos Gaynor and Anna Miller Gaynor. He was a proud veteran having served in both the United States Navy and United States Air Force. Philip was a transit authority superintendent for the City of New York. His favorites pastimes included skiing, fishing, bowling, and reading.
Preceding Philip in death were his parents, Philip Amos Gaynor and Anna M. Gaynor, and his sister, Margaret Ann Ramirez.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Maria Guadalupe Cortez Gaynor; his children Philip Edward Gaynor, Jr., Roberta, and Karla V.; grandchildren Philip III, Michael, Nicole, Lauren, Jason, Jaqueline A., and John.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, the 17th of June 2024 between the hours of eleven o’clock in the morning and nine o'clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Monday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
A Chapel Service will be held at nine o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 18th of June 2024. Interment with military honors will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville.
