Mrs. Raquel G. Castro 77, was called to the Lord on May 29, 2015.
She is preceded by her husband Jose Maria Castro; son,Jorge Castro; daughter,
Rosa Maria Castro Taylor; her parents, Lucindo/Rosa Gutierrez; her sisters, Concepcion Araiza, Alicia Saldivar, Antonia Garcia and Elva Pesina; brothers, Sebastian, Enrique ,Alfonso Gutierrez and Gilberto Gutierrez.
She leaves behind to cherish their memories of her are twelve children; daughters, Andrea Ramos/Freddy, Susie Castro, Yesenia Garcia/Julio; and sons, Abel Castro/Elvira, Jose Alfonso Castro/Consuelo, Horacio Cantu/Tomi, Alejandro Castro/Maria, Erasmo Castro/Thelma, Juan Castro/Maria Elena, Jose M. Castro/Susie, Jaime J. Castro/Nora and Joel A. Castro/Dalia; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving brother, Lucindo Gutierrez,Jr. and her loving sister Yolanda G. Guzman. Also her heart and soul sister Jovita Ledbetter/Ralph.
She loved dancing. She was also happy when she heard music. She also loved playing Chalupa with family and friends. She loved going to the casinos. She also loved spending time at TLC Adult Center. She loved the special bond that she shared with her granddaughter Ashley Castro.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening in the Darling-Mouser Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated 12 noon on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Honored to be serving as her pallbearers are Kevin Taylor, Justin Castro, Eric Castro, Freddy Ramos, Jr., Alex Castro, Jr. and Erasmo Castro, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ashley Castro and Eric Branden Castro.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Irma Alcantara who was by her side to the end.
