Rebecca C. Brechot

Rebecca C. Brechot, 92, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered into the glory of her eternal life on Saturday, December 29, 2007 in Brownsville, Texas.

Mrs. Brechot was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. A devout Catholic, she was a woman who was devoted to taking care of her family.

Nothing pleased her more than being around and providing for her husband, her son and his family. She will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate to have known her.

Mrs. Brechot was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Julio W. Brechot; her parents, and her brothers and sisters.

Left behind to eternally treasure her memory is her son Rusty and his wife Robin Brechot from Rancho Viejo, TX; her grandchildren, Jessica and her husband Alex Barragan from Kyle, TX; Jay Brechot from South Padre Island, TX, Jacklyn and her husband Brian Hebert from Katy, TX, Joanna Brechot from Austin, TX, and Jared Brechot from Rancho Viejo, TX; her great-grandchildren, Olivia Barragan, Amaya Ruiz, Noah Barragan, and Jackson and Luke Hebert; her closest friend and caregiver, Maria de la Luz Maldonado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brechots family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Spanish Meadows Nursing Home for the wonderful care that they provided to her while in their care.

As per her wishes Mrs. Brechot will be cremated. A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at St. Marys Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Brechots family is requesting that memorial gifts in her name be made to Monicas House, P.O. Box 5418, Brownsville, TX 78523.
