BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Rebecca Jimenez, 90, our beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, the 30th of January 2022 in Brownsville, Texas.
Rebecca, or Beca, as she was fondly known, a lifetime resident of Brownsville, was born on October 1, 1931. She was the youngest of five children and the only daughter born to Ramon and Victoria Jimenez. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and also St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rebecca was a beloved educator, having served over forty years with Brownsville Independent School District before her retirement. She was also deeply devoted to her family, caring for her mother until Victoria’s passing. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Victoria Jimenez; and three brothers Raymond, Ruben, and Raul.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her brother, Rogerio “Chico” Jimenez of Houston, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
