Richard Garza

Richard Garza, Licensed Vocational Nurse, 63, dear friend, brother and uncle. Was taken from us prematurely Friday, February 8, 2008, at his residence in Brownsville. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, he entered the military and served his country as a corpsman in the Navy. After his discharge he worked for a short time at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston. He relocated to the Valley and had been a nurse in this community for over thirty years, working at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville, formerly Brownsville Medical Center, Valley Baptist Medical Center, and at the county jail. He touched many lives and will be sorely missed. Visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Darling Mouser Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 16, at 2 p.m., at Darling Mouser Funeral Home with burial to follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.
