Richard "Dick" Jacob Wolf Sr.

Mr. Richard Jacob Wolf Sr. passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He had resided there since September of 2015.

Dick was born at home to William Wayne Wolf and Elsie May Taylor Wolf in 1923 in Swan Township, Warren Co. IL. He was one of 6 children. On April 24, 1954, he married Evelyn Watt of Avon, IL. Together they raised 6 children and farmed first in the Walnut Grove and then Greenbush locales for more than 40 years. Retirement took them first to Abingdon, IL and then to Brownsville, TX to be in the warmer weather.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leland and sister-in-law Martha, his brother Harold, his sister Eleanor Cage and brother-in-law Hubert, and his brother Kenneth.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his daughter Elizabeth Izaguirre (Simon+) of Brownsville, TX; and his sons - John of Stuart, FL, Richard Jr (Cindy) of The Dalles, OR; William of Brownsville, TX; David (Suzan) of Elk City, OK and Dean (Cheryl) of Monmouth, IL. He has 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren who succeed him.
He is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Chadderdon of Bushnell, IL and his sisters-in-law - Marge Wolf of Bushnell and Marjorie Wolf of Macomb, IL and many cherished nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be planned by the family when we can all gather together in the spring.
