Robert Lincoln Cole

Robert Lincoln Cole, 78, went to meet the Lord on February 25, 2014.
Mr. Cole was born to Dorotha Banta Cole. He was a lifelong resident of Brownsville, Texas.

Robert attended Brownsville High School. His first job was at Texas Fish Hatcheries. He was then employed by Tradewinds Shrimp Packing Company for many years, before becoming the manager of Royal Poinciana RV Park. Robert was an avid collector of animals, especially exotic birds, of which he had an extensive collection.

Robert will be dearly missed by all those who loved him for his kindness and generosity. He was a man with a good heart and was very supportive of his family. May he rest in peace.

Robert is survived b his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley Parker Cole four sons: Bob Cole, Greg Cole, Gordon Cole, and Michael Cole two daughters, Stephanie Thompson and Yvonne Konen nine grandchildren and thirteen greatgrandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his son, Richard Ricky Cole. His siblings are Dean Cole and Jean Hoeller Cole, who are deceased, and Jim Cole who currently resides in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2014 with a Celebration of Life Service starting at 1:00 p.m. in the West Chapel of DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
