BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Rodney James Hebert, beloved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, the 24th of November 2020 in Brownsville, Texas at the age of forty-six.
Rodney had a great love for his family and adored his children, Brock and Lexi. He had the ability to make anyone laugh with his crazy personality. Rodney was in the Shrimping industry ever since he was young, eventually navigating the seas as a shrimp boat captain. In his spare time, Rodney enjoyed venturing South Padre Island, skateboarding, and listening to his favorite songs. Rodney will always be remembered for his charming smile and contagious laugh. He had a good heart and always made himself available to help others whenever needed.
Rodney was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wallace Joseph Boudreaux, Sr. and Enola Mary Morgan Boudreaux, and paternal grandparents, Howard Joseph Hebert, Sr. and Pearl Gautreaux Hebert.
Rodney is survived by his father, Howard Joseph Hebert, Jr. and his mother, Carlette Ann Boudreaux who both loved Rodney very much; his siblings, Virginia Lynn Hebert, Cathy Ann Hebert, and Dawn Elizabeth Hebert; nieces and nephews Adam, Shaynalynn, Justin, Tabitha, Annie, Destiny, and Skylar; in addition to numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at seven o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 26th of August 2021 within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
