Rodolfo Hernandez Davila, 89, our beloved brother, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Hernandez a native of Matamoros, Tamps., Mexico, was a lifetime resident of Brownsville. He loved, hunting, fishing, and travelling. He was a good son, brother, husband, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Josefina Hernandez his wife, Amparo Hernandez three sisters: Aurora Villarreal, Juanita Avendao, and Josefina Cano and two brothers: Santos and Luis Hernandez Davila.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his brother, Jose Hernandez Davila and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and a rosary service were held yesterday at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 10 a.m. today, Sunday, September 25, 2011 in the North Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. There will be a second rosary recited at 12 Noon today. Fr. Eduardo Gomez will officiate the chapel service that will begin at 4 p.m. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Rodolfos nieces and nephews are honored to be serving as his pallbearers.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Maria Guadalupe Mendez Zuniga for the care that she gave their uncle.
