Ronald Jose "Ron" Amador

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX. - Ronald Jose “Ron” Amador entered into eternal rest on Friday, the 21st of July 2023 at his South Padre Island residence. He was forty-nine years of age. 

Ron, as he was affectionately known by, was born in Nicaragua on November 6, 1973. He grew up in Brownsville, Texas where he made countless friends. His love for the ocean was shown by his passion for surfing and paddleboarding. Ron also enjoyed skateboarding. 

Preceding Ron in death was his grandmother, Maria Dora "Dorita" Russell; his aunt, Clara "Kalina" Reyes; and his paternal grandparents, Armando and Elva Amador.

Ron is survived by his mother, Vivien L. Diamond and her husband Bryan; his father, Francisco Ronald Amador; his sister, Carolina Amador; his niece, Olivia Lee Jump; in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of many friends. 

The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at five o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 3rd of August 2023 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville. All services will conclude following the mass. 

In lieu of floral arrangements and customary remembrances, contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
