Rosalinda Rosie Castillo, 49, of Los Fresnos, Texas, beloved daughter, sister, wife, and aunt entered into the glory of her eternal life on Saturday, 01 May 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical CenterHarlingen surrounded by her loving family.
Rosie was born on March 22, 1961 in Brownsville, the sixth child of Ruben and Margarita Dorsett. She graduated in 1981 from Hanna High School. On October 3, 1985, after 10 years of dating, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Javier Castillo. Rosie loved to bake and cook and go dancing.
In 1988, Rosie started having problems with her kidneys and thus began her battle against renal failure. She underwent a kidney transplant that was a success at first, but then she developed more complications which led to 6 more major operations. Through it all, she remained cheerful and optimistic and she was always a happy cheerful person willing to help those in need. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her loving husband of 24 years, Javier Castillo her parents, Ruben and Margarita Dorsett her 3 sisters: Estela Edward Dorsett Casarez, Lupita John Michael Dorsett Davis, and Yolanda Dorsett John Beckett, fiance her 3 brothers: Albert Paula Dorsett, Tony Amalia Dorsett, and Jesse Dorsett her beloved Chihuahuas that were her babies: Barbie, Mueca, and Chiquito. She will also be missed by her father and motherinlaw, Sotero and Petra Castillo, and her numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and her many friends.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and continue through 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 04 May 2010 in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home with a service celebrating Rosies life beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. All services will conclude Tuesday evening, and in accordance with Rosies wishes cremation will follow.

Rosies family would like to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to the many doctors that tended to her throughout her illness. May God Bless You as you continue to minister to others.
