Mrs. Rosalva Sarquis, 76, of Brownsville, our beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Monday, May 21, 2012, at her residence surrounded by all those who loved her after a brief but valiant battle against cancer.
Rosalva was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her and who were a part of her life.
Mrs. Sarquis was preceded in death by her father, Federico Garza her husband, Miguel Sarquis and a son, Miguel Angel Sarquis.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her mother, Juana Otilia Garza her seven children: Felipe de Jesus Bertha Alicia Sarquis, Juan Enrique Patricia Sarquis, Lourdes Michael Callas, Llamna Oscar Muoz, Yamile Fidencio Sandoval, Martin Gloria Sarkis, and Miguel Angel Rachel Sarquis II nineteen grandchildren and thirteen greatgrandchildren. She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters: Angelica Jesus Valenzuela, Jesus Maria Garza, Ludivina Arturo Singlaterry, Jose Julia Garza, Olga Manuel Rivera, and Jorge Dalila Garza and numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, and continue until 9:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. this evening. The Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis St. Brownsville, TX. All services will conclude after the Mass and in accordance with Mrs. Sarquis wishes, cremation will follow.
Luis Felipe Sarquis, Harun Sarquis, Felipe de Jesus Sarquis Jr., Miguel Francisco Sarquis, Oscar Muoz, and Miguel Angel Sarkis are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their beloved grandmother. Michael E. Callas, Joseph A. Callas, Juan Enrique Sarquis Jr., and Seth Angel Sarquis will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The Sarquis family would like to extend their appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to Safe Haven and Leonel Puga for the compassionate care they provided to her and the family. May God continue to bless you as you minister to others.
