BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Rosauro  Fontejon Alibin, 86, born in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on January 20, 1936, currently of Brownsville, Texas, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

“Manong Ross”, as he was affectionately known to the Filipino community, was a loving and devoted husband for 49 years to his departed wife, Raymunda, and a loving and devoted father to his three daughters. As a retired contractor, Rosauro held a Masters of Industrial Arts and was passionate about designing and building homes. He was Co-Founder of the Fil-Am Association of Brownsville with his departed wife Raymunda and an active volunteer with the Filipino Community at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was an avid builder, house contractor, softball coach, and deeply religious. He was compassionate and never waivered in his faith in God. As a devoted Catholic, he was a lifelong parishioner and active member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for over 40 years.

Preceding him in his death are his devoted and beloved wife, Raymunda Alibin; his parents, Juan and Felipa Alibin; and his siblings Rosario Alibin, Eusebio Alibin, Basilio Alibin, Cecilia Alejon, Cresencia Alibin, Maria Alibin.

He is survived by his three daughters Rosary Munoz (Vincent), Roslyn Alibin-Skinner (Larry), and Dr. Niccale Alibin; and by his 6 grandchildren Joshua, Elijah, Mia, Jazmin, Aysha, and Aydan.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 9:00pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The rosary will be livestreamed and recorded for viewing. This video may be accessed by clicking here.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Monday, December 5, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Entombment will then follow at Buena Vista Burial Park Mausoleum, 5 McDavitt Boulevard.

Honored to be serving as his pallbearers are Vincent Munoz, Joshua Munoz, Larry Skinner, Renan Parawan, Jee DeLotta, and Joseph Modesto.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, caregivers, and extended family and friends who cared and prayed for Rosauro Fontejon Alibin.
