Rose J. Esparza passed away on November 22, 2018 at the age of 95 at Valley Regional Medical Center. Rose was born on September 04, 1923 in Kansas City, Kansas to Lawrence and Mary Jarosz, she was the youngest of four children.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband Alberto R. Esparza, her parents, two brothers; Raymond and Theodore Jarosz of Kansas City Kansas, her sister Genenieve Piecuch and husband Stanley of Chicago, Illinois, her nephew David and niece Jennifer Piecuch of Chicago, Illinois.
She is survived by her children, Carol Ann Champion of Rockport, Texas, Larry Albert and wife Joyce Esparza of San Antonio, Texas, Rose Mary and husband George Glispin of Boerne, Texas; her grandchildren, Kim Marie Gonzales and husband Robert of Corpus Christi, Texas, Melissa Altamirano and husband Alfonso of Waco Texas, Thomas Champion III and wife Robin of Rockport, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Miranda Nicole Moreno, Ryan Andrew Strehlde, Alyssa Nicole, Shayna Lynn, and Tommy IV Champion, Mia Renae, Joaquin Patrick Altamirano and nephew, John Piecuch.
Rose lived most of her life in Brownsville, Texas. She loved to cook for her family and friends, worked in her flower garden and loved dancing, worked with her husband Alberto in their business of Esparza Pest Control. A devout Catholic, her day began with rosary and prayer. "Live your life to the fullest, tomorrow may never come". "Lord today I surrender everything to you".
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday November 25, 2018 with a recitation of the holy rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday November 26, 2018 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Romeo II, Roman Dean, Mark and Dionicio II Esparza, Emilio and Guillermo Esparza. Honorary Pall Bearers are Ernesto Solis, Cruz Carlos, Freddy Serrato, Pete Gonzalez, Chester Gonzalez and Rey Lerma.
Her heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lorenzo Pelly, Dr. Roberto Robles, Dr. Jose Luis Maymie and all their staff and not forgotten Dr. Gustavo Stern and the staff with everyone else at Spanish Meadows, the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rose's name may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 West St. Francis, Brownsville, Texas or St. Luke's Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Drive, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
