Ruben Hinojosa, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, 84, of Brownsville entered into eternal rest at his residence on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Hinojosa was a dedicated employee of the City of Brownsville as a Vacant Lot Inspector for 25 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Angelica C. Hinojosa, his sons, Ruben Hinojosa, Jr. and his wife Patricia Hinojosa and Luis Hinojosa and his wife Sara Hinojosa his grandchildren, Liria Lydia Foster, Ruben Hinojosa III, Alexandria Alisha Hinojosa, Luis Hinojosa, Cristobal Hinojosa, Jennifer Hinojosa, and Fernando Hinojosa, Jr. Seven great-grandchildren, his brothers, Clemente Hinojosa, Aristeo Hinojosa, and Armando Hinojosa. He was preceded in death by a son, Fernando Hinojosa; parents, Martin Hinojosa and Ninfa Hinojosa; brothers, Ernesto Hinojosa, Pedro Hinojosa and Uvaldo Hinojosa.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. in the West Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
A liturgical service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 in the West Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
