Rufina V. Ramos

Rufina V. Ramos, 90, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Ramos was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Rita T. Vargas, her husband, Domingo Mejia Ramos, all of her siblings, a grandson, Alvaro Alvarado and great-grandson, Jacob Saenz. She is survived by her six children, Ruben Adela Ramos, Gloria R. Alvarado Julian E. Tamez, Roberto Ramos, Ramiro Estela Ramos, Hector Ramos and Arnoldo Elida Ramos, 27 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will begin on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11a.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7p.m., in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow to Buena Vista Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Ruben Ramos, Jr., Adrian Alvarado, Robert Lee Ramos, Ramiro Ramos, Jr., Hector Ramos, Jr. and Andrew Ramos. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricardo Alvarado, Domingo Ramos, Rolando Ramos, Rene Ramos, Marcos Castro, Jesus Ramos, and Rogelio Ramos.
