alignleftMrs. Sallie Marie Russell, 80, our beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and aunt entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, May 11, 2009 at Sunshine Haven surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Port Isabel, Mrs. Russell had called Brownsville home for a number of years. A devout Catholic and a woman of great faith she was a devoted parishioner of Our Heavenly Father Catholic Church in Olmito, Texas. Some of her favorite pastimes were beachcombing, fishing, and birding. She was most happiest spending time with family and friends, especially her eight grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all those fortunate to have known her.

She was preceded in death and has now joined her son, Patrick Russell and her daughter, Charmaine Russell Wentz.

Left behind to eternally treasure her memory is her husband of 56 years, James O. Russell Jr.; her 2 sons: James B. and his wife Luanne Russell and William B. Bill Russell; the grandchildren that were her pride and joy: Blake, Jon-Mason, Aaron, and Cameron Russell; Patrick, Paige, and Peyton Russell, and Christen Wentz; her daughter-in-law, Maureen Russell; her sister, Helen Lu Mills; and a brother, Charles and his wife Nita Burnell.
