San Juanita "Janie" Rendon

San Juanita Rendon, 39, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.

San Juanita was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. She worked for the Town of Rancho Viejo as the Assistant Town Secretary for over 20 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister who will be deeply missed by her family and everyone who knew her.

Left behind to eternally treasure her memory is her husband of 18 years, Rafael Rendon, her 3 sons, Rafael II, Jeremy, and Thomas Jacob Rendon; her parents, Manuel Isabel Cruz, Sr.; 2 brothers, Manuel Yolanda Cruz, Jr., and Antonio Cruz; 2 sisters, Mary Lou Manuel Martinez and Irma John Robles; and her father and mother-in-law, Eduardo Elsa Rendon, II. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and members of her extended family.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2007 in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home and continue through 9 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7p.m. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial gifts in San Juanitas name be made to the Rendon Sons College Scholarship Fund that is being set up at IBC Bank to benefit her three sons.
