Funeral services for Santos Galvan, 86, beloved father, brother, grandfather, greatgrandfather, uncle, and friend were held Nov. 1, 2010 at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Port Isabel. Mr. Galvan entered into the glory of his eternal life on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
A native of Cruillas, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mr. Galvan came to the United States over 60 years ago and settled in the Laguna Madre Area where he resided and worked in the shrimping industry. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Mr. Galvan was preceded in death by his parents 3 sisters his wife, Guadalupe Galvan a grandson, Anthony Carter and a granddaughter, Yolanda Galvan.
Left to eternally treasure his memory are his 10 children: Francisco Monica Galvan, Primitivo Esther Galvan, Theodoro Martha Galvan, Lydia Tony Carter, Diana Leo Martinez, Juan Yolanda Galvan, Sandra Galvan, Lupita Ray Delgado, Dora Fernando Vasquez, and Santos Nelly Galvan Jr., 34 grandchildren 32 greatgrandchildren with 1 on the way 2 greatgreatgrandchildren with 1 on the way his sister, Concepcion 3 brothers: Jaime, Jose, Osbaldo Galvan and numerous nieces and nephews.
