Sara H Rodriguez

Mrs. Sara H. Rodriguez, 87, of Brownsville, our beloved mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother entered into the glory eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, January 15, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.

Sara was born in Reedville, TX in June of 1924 and had been a resident of Brownsville for numerous years. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner at St. Josephs Catholic Church.

Sara was totally devoted to her family. She was a very loving and generous person, giving her all to family and friends. Sara was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Ysidoro B. Rodriguez and two sons, Rogelio and Raul Rodriguez.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her children: Guadalupe Hernan Palomino, Esperanza Rodriguez, Isidoro Perla Rodriguez Jr., Noemi Hector Gracia, Isabel R. fianc Pablo Serrata Jr. Barrera, and Tom Diana Rodriguez 10 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:0 0 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 555 West St. Francis Street. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Marco A. Barrera, James P. Cortes, Nick Hinojosa, Tom Rodriguez, Pablo Serrata Jr., and Pablo Serrata III are honored to be serving as Saras pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons: David M. Barrera, Luis Cortes, Hector Gracia Jr., Milton Ortiz, Isidoro Rodriguez III, and Joe Rodriguez.
