Seferino Segura Jr., 58, of Brownsville, Texas entered into the glory of his eternal life on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville with his loving family at his side.
Born in Weslaco, Seferino had been a resident of Brownsville since 1989. Seferino was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He loved spending time with family and friends. A graduate of Weslaco High School, he was a proud Panther.
Seferino was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.
Seferino was preceded in death by his parents, Eusebia and Seferino Segura Sr. and a sister, Hermelinda Segura.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his loving and devoted wife of 28 years, Patricia Leal Segura; his children: Michelle D. (Oberlin) Cardenas, Melissa A. Segura, Billie Marie (Roberto) Salazar, Seferino Segura III, Michael A. Segura, and Patricia A. (Roberto) Casas; the 4 grandchildren that were the apple of his eye, Robert Michael, Jeremy Jude, and Zoey Abigail Salazar and Karolina Michelle Cardenas. Seferino will also be missed by his siblings: Seferino Segura Jr., Maria Alicia Marquez, Noelia Segura, Samuel Segura, and Saul (Elizabeth) Segura along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis St. All services will conclude after the Mass and in accordance with Seferino's wishes cremation will follow.
Family members are honored to be serving as his pallbearers.
