Sylvia R. Barron

Sylvia R. Barron, 49, of Brownsville, Texas entered into eternal rest on May 11, 2008 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Sylvia was a member of New Life Center United Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rogelio M. Barron, two brothers, Edward Ruth and Jimmy Ruth, a nephew, Rudy Cantu, Jr. and her beloved grand-niece, Nevaeh Sky Leal. She is survived by her five children, Marlene Barron, Rhonda Lopez, Rogelio Barron, Jr., Monica Barron, and Lindsey Barron, five grandchildren, her parents, Charles and Rosalva C. Ruth, three sisters, Patricia Montemayor, Rosie Cantu and Leticia Garcia, two brothers, Charles Ruth and David Ruth, two God children, Jill Montemayor and Juan Sosa, Jr., sister-in-law, Yvonne Ruth and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 1-9p.m., with a prayer service to begin at 7p.m., in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser. Funeral services will be held at 10a.m., Thursday, May 15, at New Life Center Pentecostal Church, 3665 Old Hwy. 77, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Burial will follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.
