Ursula Sevier, 67, our beloved wife, mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.

Ursula was born in Badgodesberg, Germany in June of 1944. She came to the United States in 1955 when she was eleven years old and lived in Shreveport, LA until she went off to college to the University of Dallas. It was there that she met her future husband Joe, during her freshman year. Ursula and Joe were married in Austin in 1966 while attending the University of Texas a marriage that last 45 years and produced two wonderful children.

In 1974, the relocated to Brownsville to open a musical instrument store that became Mr. Music. Affectionately known as, Mrs. Music she kept the books for 34 years and assisted her husband and their employees wherever needed.

Besides her family, she developed many close lifelong friends who could always count on her as a willing listener. The weekly afternoon coffee and cake sessions with Rose, Irene, Jeane, Lillian, Teresa, Socorro et al were the highlight of her week the last 2 years of her life.

Ursula enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She also enjoyed gardening at home, playing bridge, emailing her friends in faraway places, solving crossword puzzles, and attending all her grandchildrens activities. Ursula had a Santa Claus collection with over 500 pieces in her collection. Ursula was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.

Ursula was preceded in death by her father, Karl Boersken and her loving mother, Martha Dukes and her only nephew, Patrick Sevier.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is husband of 45 years, Joe Sevier her daughter Michelle and her husband Danny Kyral and their children, Allison, Devin, Shane, and Danielle her son, John Howard II Sevier and his wife, Rosy and their children, John Howard III Sevier, and Erick and Manuel Apolinar her brotherinlaw, John D. Sevier and his wife Olga two greatgrandchildren, Andrea and Austin and numerous friends.

Viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011 with the family greeting friends and relatives starting at 5:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The recitation of the holy rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday evening.

There will not be a procession to the church, so we ask that everyone meet at the church for the Funeral Mass which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road. All services will conclude after the Mass, and in accordance with Ursulas wishes cremation will follow.

John D. Sevier, Shane Kyral, Manuel Apolinar, Eusebio Garza, Peter Hossenlopp, and Mike Lopez, are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.
