Doa Velia C. Jimenez, 90, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX surrounded by her loving family.
Doa Velia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Doa Velia was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by those fortunate to have known her.
Doa Velia was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Jimenez a daughter, Velia Palmer J. and a sister, Martha Cervantes.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her three daughters, Mirella Amejorado, of Houston, TX, Sandra Jimenez, of Mexico City, D.F., Mexico, and Yolanda J. Resendez, of Brownsville three sons: Francisco Jimenez C. of Cerralvo, N.L., Mexico, Apolinar Jimenez C., and Luis Angel Jimenez C. both of Brownsville two sisters, Sonia Kingsbury and Minerva Lieck a nephew, William Robert Kingsbury, all of Brownsville, along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. today, Thursday, November 15, 2012 and continue through 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled for 7:00 p.m. this evening in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at tomorrow, Friday, November 16, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Apolinar Jimenez, Francisco Jimenez, Luis Angel Jimenez, Carlos Jimenez Villalobos, Walter Kingsbury, and Erik Cervantes and are honored to be serving as Doa Velias pallbearers.
