Victoria Vasquez Infante, 87, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Victoria who was born in Baytown, Texas, had been a longtime resident of Brownsville. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Victoria was an excellent cook and she was famous for her Chile Relleños, Albondigas de Camarón, and her Salsa. She loved gardening and tended to her flowers with loving care and playing Chalupa with family and friends. Victoria was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Victoria was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Victoria was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Infante Sr.; a daughter, Margarita Infante and a son, Manuel Infante Jr.; her parents, Margarita and Juan Vasquez; 1 brother, Juan Vasquez Jr. and 4 sisters: Consuelo Chavez, Felicitas Martinez, Refugia Chavez, and Margarita Avila.

Left behind to eternally treasure the memories they have of Victoria are her children: Felicitas and her husband Ismael Soto, Yolanda and her husband Servando Galvan, Jose Luis Infante, Marta and her husband Richard Alvarez, Janie and her husband Javier Shears and Maria Infante Villarreal. Victoria will also be missed by her 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15th, 2017, and continue through 9:00 p.m.
with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Monday evening in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1055 US Military Hwy 281, in Brownsville. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens

Javier Shears, Omar Villarreal Jr., Rey Dimas, Richard Alvarez, Martin Barajas, and Carlos Salinas are honored to be serving as Victoria's pallbearers.
