William "Rusty" Abney Faulk Jr.

On December 18, 2011, William A.Rusty Faulk Jr., of Brownsville, Texas entered into eternal rest at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, at the age of 54. Rusty went to be with his Lord and his beloved Dani Lei Faulk.

Rusty, a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, was born on March 3, 1957 and graduated from Homer Hanna High School in Brownsville. After high school, he graduated from the University of TexasPan American and subsequently obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.

Rusty was an active and lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville, where he led the Lost and Found Sunday School Class. He was also active in the American Red Cross, the Sunrise Rotary Club, the Cameron County Bar Association, and the Cameron County Republican Party.

At the time of his death, he was the principal at his law firm, William A. Faulk P.C., serving the city of Brownsville for over 20 years.

Rusty was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 31 years, Dani Lei Faulk.

Rusty is survived by his two sons, William A. Cody Faulk III, a graduate of St. Marys University Law School in San Antonio and Luther Kendall Faulk, a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Celebrating the joy of his life and accomplishments are: his parents, William A. Sr. and Bobbie Anne Faulk his sisters: Judy Faulk, Becky Thompson, Linda Reuben Arteaga, and Molly Faulk his brothers, John C. Faulk and David Wise his future daughterinlaw, Jennifer M. Lopez, all of Brownsville, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

A memorial service celebrating Rustys life will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church, 1225 Boca Chica Blvd., Brownsville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial gifts in Rustys name be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 4002018, Des Moines, IA 503402018, 18007332767 and www.redcross.org.
