BROWNSVILLE, TX. – William “Bill” Thomas Turbeville, Sr., a longtime resident of Brownsville, has reunited with his loving wife Lenora, who died on the Wednesday, the 5th of July 2017. Bill died on Saturday, the 1st of July 2023 in the comfort of his Brownsville residence. He was eighty-nine years of age.
Bill was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and actively served the church for many years. Bill retired from the United States Department of Agriculture after working in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Louisiana, The Netherlands, and Texas.
Preceding Bill in death was his wife, Lenora Ammons Turbeville; his parents, Samuel Albert Turbeville and Etta Mae Turbeville; and his grandson, Charles C. "Charlie" Espinoza.
Bill leaves behind two sons, Tom (Yolanda) Turbeville and their children Vanessa (John), Morgan, William III (Blythe), and Ryan, and David (Angie) Turbeville and their children Cristina (Travis) Davidson, Cristian, Casey, and Amber (Jay); and his great-grandchildren Dominic, Cassandra, Patrick, Alyssa, Robert, Ariel, Christopher, Liam, and one on the way, to cherish a lifetime of memories.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Saturday, the 8th of July 2023. The family will receive friends between the hours of ten o’clock in the morning and two o’clock in the afternoon, with services starting at twelve noon within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
