Ysidora "Dora" Pineda Blanchard

Ysidora Pineda Blanchard, 85, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, motherinlaw and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at her daughters residence in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

Ysidora Dora was born in Brownsville, Texas. An accomplished student, she graduated from Brownsville High School. Her life became complete when she met the love of her life, her husband Bert Blanchard, at a familyowned fruit stand on Washington Street in Brownsville. On August 11, 1951, Dora and Bert were married. As a devoted wife, Dora faithfully traveled the world putting her family and her husbands military career first. After Berts retirement, they moved back to Brownsville to be close to their family. In Brownsville, Dora put countless smiles on the faces of the customers at Bates Cleaners as their receptionist. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner at Mary Mother of the Church Parish since its inception. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Immaculate Heart of Mary 2448.

Dora lived for her family. Nothing brought more pleasure to her life than to spend her precious moments with the ones she loved. She instilled love of family and unity in her children and grandchildren. Dora was loving, kind, thoughtful, and generous to anyone needing a helping hand. Dora stole the show wherever she went, her beauty shined so bright. Dora was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all those fortunate to have known her.

Dora was preceded in death by a son, Bob Norman Blanchard her parents, Ysidora and Roman Pineda two sisters, Katie Shull and Andrea Pine Fernandez a brother, Gilbert Pineda a nephew, Noe Fernandez and a niece, Dahlia Pineda.
